While in Phoenix Arizona on Jan. 15th 2002 I followed up on a complaint that the Wild oats stores in Tucson and Phoenix were still selling the imported, frozen, gassed tuna for about $12.00 a pound, a value of about $4.90 at best. When I checked it our sure enough, I bought some it had been frozen and gassed and looked like albacore and was being sold as fresh all natural yellow fin tuna.
What a fraud upon the trust of the unsuspecting public, the consumer. Why are the stores afraid to say it is imported and chemically treated, why not tell the truth about it origin? It's all about money $$$$ isn't it; they may be trading people's health for profits.
SHAME ON THEM!!
